This course is based on findings from a 5-year research project that adapted a virtual interview training program and tested it with transition-age youth who are blind or have low vision. The course provides an overview of the program, explains research on its usability and effectiveness, and offers practical guidance for implementation. Participants will gain insights into employment barriers, learn strategies to enhance interview preparation, and discover how virtual interview training can complement existing services. 

Course developer: Jennifer L. Cmar, Ph.D., COMS, is an Associate Research Professor at the National Research and Training Center on Blindness and Low Vision at Mississippi State University, where she has worked since 2016. With a strong background in special education and visual disabilities, her work focuses on improving employment outcomes for people who are blind or have low vision, including research on job search interventions, virtual interview training, and analysis of large national datasets.

This course is available for 1 CRC, ACVREP, and NBPCB credit.
