This course involves reading a journal article by Dr. Michele McDonnall, Dr. Li Zhou, and Dr. Adele Crudden, entitled Employer Attitudes toward Persons who are Blind or Visually Impaired: Perspectives and Recommendations from Vocational Rehabilitation Personnel.
This course is available for CRC, ACVREP, and NBPCB credit.
Course Objectives:
- Describe VR counselors’ and business relation professionals’ perceptions about attitudes of employers towards people who are blind or visually impaired.
- Describe differences in VR counselors’ and business relation professionals’ perceptions about employer attitudes.
- Identify recommended techniques to encourage an employer to consider people who are blind or visually impaired for employment.
